Sandpoint Project

ENJOYING THE LAKE AND MOUNTAINS FROM THIS SUNNY MODERN HOME

NEW CONSTRUCTION ON OLD FOUNDATION

This project was brought to us as a remodel, but the original house and foundation were solid, so we decided that to save money and materials, we would build the new house on top of the old house and used the old foundation.

LOCATION

SEATTLE’S MATTHEWS BEACH

An entirely residential neighborhood by Lake Washington with the largest freshwater swimming beach in the city.

MODERN DESGIN

SUSTAINABLE, ENERGY-EFFICIENT MATERIALS

Sustainable elements, such as bamboo flooring, wool carpets and recycled content tile were used throughout the home. We created vaulted ceilings and an open concept kitchen, living room, and dining room to capture as much of the view of the water at Matthew’s Beach as possible. To mix the modern with earthy elements we used reclaimed barn wood siding to add texture to the outside of the house.
