Waterman Project

WE WORKED WITH ARCHITECT CHIP MAGUIRE FROM M.O.D.E. LLC TO CREATE A COMPLETELY OPEN CONCEPT.

OPEN CONCEPT WITH VIEWS

The clients wanted a home that maximized the view of the water and city lights. To achieve this, we angled the whole house toward the view of the water, raised up the ceilings, and used as many glass doors and windows as possible.

NATURE FROM EVERY ANGLE

When you stand in the kitchen, living room or dining room, the view is exposed and light comes in from every angle.

LOCATION

SEATTLE’S MERCER ISLAND

The island has limited space and instead of tearing down and building new homes, many property owners choose to remodel existing structures to maintain the appeal of the neighborhood and reduce impact on the community.

NATURAL MATERIALS

A CLOSE TIE WITH THE SURROUNDING NATURE

Materials such as marble, bamboo floors, sustainable sourced cabinets, and iron railings were used to create a natural feel throughout, which ties in perfectly with the view of water and trees.
